The kmg clone on dcknives site is a great machine and easy to build
That might be in inches tho as most plans I've seen are, just convert them yourself

Diy knife maker info center has a ton of good stuff. Its all si units though.

I made my grinder from his plans. Didn't take me long to modify the tracking arm to be a pivot based one with a gas shock.

It is a great site. Easy to understand
Yea gas shock is my next job on mine but have it finally running sweet so don't want to mess with it.

For what it’s worth, I used those plans and it came out great. I used heavier steel in some places because it’s what I had on hand.

I did the same. If I make another grinder it'll be plates bolted together for tighter tolerances. That being said, my grinder does run really well.

I see alot of pros use a kmg clone with plates bolted together,on the cards for me too
I can stand a pencil on my tool arm in full flight so I'm happy with mine for now
