Here's the abbreviated version of what I do.
With the knife closed.
I would loosen all the screws including the clip screws
Now snug down on the pivot. Not real tight, just hand tight.
I then gently, but firmly, apply pressure to each side of the knife in opposite directions.
Left side up/right side down or Left side down/right side up; while at the same time seeing what combination gives you the desired results.
While holding the right effect, start tightening screws. If the tightening of one particular screw ruins the effect. Tighten this problem screw last.
Once all screws are tight, adjust pivot.
This procedure works with most of the knives that I have run into and noticeably better on knives with custom scales.
If after this you are still getting a severely off center blade, with the factory scales.
You should return the knife to BM for repair.
There are many elements involved here that can effect the centering of the blade.
Some of these elements such as spacer height, mounting hole location and pivot symmetry can not be fixed by the end user.
BM has the parts and the know how to make things right.
