Hi guys i have some steel from old hedge shears not exactly sure if high carbon or just stainless steel.I did hand file alot file did bite in but very little and that was done using brand new file so not sure.I had heated handle other day got rainbow effect on handle but didnt have enough gas left to get steel cherry red let me know
Just a covid lockdown project
 
There was a guy, Oopa-Derrick, on Knifeforums who made knives from sheep shears and those took a good edge and hardened.
