DIY lid for GSI glacier cup

Wife used some of her time on Saturday to fashion herself a lid for her glacier cup. She used tinsnips on the bottom of an old coffee pot we were retiring anyways, and a portion of the rod from a pepper mill for the "handle".

Turned out a bit ugly because of the irregular cuts from the snips, but it was her first DIY "metal working" project. All in all she is super happy with the funtionality of her solo setup!

Well done. I read somewhere around here that the lid from the Peppridge Farms Pirouette snacks will fit the GSI cup. I just can't bring myself to spend $5 on a lid as I've got no interest in eating what is under it.

Great job! I was recently watching NativeRobin's YouTube channel, and she made a lid for one of her canteen cups. Here's the video.

There's a certain type of chocolate wafer roll cookie tin cover that supposedly fits perfect on these. Usually they are pretty common at Christmas, but you do see them from time to time. Also you might have to take your cup with you and see if it fits or you may end up eating them for a few days until you find the right kind.

I just got one of these cups the other day. Thanks for the idea.

I see those Pirouette wafers at the local Save-A-lot all the time. May have to check that out too.

I tried the lid but it did not fit my cup. :grumpy: The cookies were good with coffee though. :D
