Definately a thought. I figure one of the Coatings used on guns like Gunkote should work fine;)

Krylon works... it's gonna wear off eventually so if you like coated just keep a can of spray handy... I've painted one of my skeleton keys 15-20 times

Some of the guys have gun blued their knives, but I think it was just for the A2 knives...

I'll bet you could get a cool coating like the old SH handled knives had. I don't know what resouces are around your locale, but out here in a neighboring city called El Cajon (not too far from Anza knives) there's a place called Molecular Metallurgy that specializes in gun coating among many other things. I had a TIALN (titanium aluminum nitrate) coated Benchmade AFCK from there and it was WAY cool! All you have to do is drill off your fasteners and have a place like the one I mentioned coat it for you...who knows, they may even be able to reattach the scales. If not, you could just have Busse Co do it.

My favorite knife is a Mag that was stripped, smoothed out, and Bead blasted. It's a beauty:

You could also just strip your knife, many people do that and leave it that way. It looks pretty cool unless there's a bunch of deep grind lines.

You know, someone could make a killing if they brought out a range of "Busse Touch-Up Pens" like the on I've just used to get rid of a chip on my car's bonnet.

I'd buy them.

Rick.
