Hi, i havent been very active here, just reading and trying to learn but now i need to ask a question of you all. I am considering getting a few knives coated with a DLC coating, which apparently is extremely hard, reduces friction massively and protects from corrosion as well as looking flash. Before i do it i want to guage peoples opinions of these sort of coatings, have any of you used them and if so how well do they work? The ones i am looking at are marketed for tooling and gearing applications so i believe they would be good for knives too. What is everyones opinion on this?
