I've been working on a kitchen knife for my sister and here are the results:

5160 steel blade - tempered at 375F(190C)
Double layer handle scales - Aluminum & Acrylic
DLC coating to prevent oxidation, scratches and because its dark color looks pretty good to me!

Let me know what you guys think!
Check out the time lapse video I made:

Yuridarian,

That looks nice! I'm anxious to hear how the DLC works to prevent corrosion. I've gotten mixed reports; some contractors I've used to coat my blades claim definite benefits, while other makers I know say that DLC does absolutely nothing to prevent rust. Intuition tells me that it should definitely help. By the way, all the blades I've done in DLC were stainless to begin with, so I have no personal experience with DLC as a corrosion barrier. Keep up the good work!

Very VERY nice sir keep up the good work..... If you don't mind me asking how did you make the belt sander is the moter a recycled grinder of some kind?
