This man is amazing in his knifemaking skills and his artistry with most any materials.....

1/4" A2 stock with a 5 1/2" scalpel-sharp cutting edge, heat-treated by Mr. Bos, with stunning Abalone inlays not only in the beautifully sculpted Ebony handle but also in the sides of the blade and the spine!!!!

An extraordinary piece of work, IMHO, with virtually perfect grinds and distal tapers, hand-polished to a mirror finish and amazing detail......like a French-cut border around the face of the handle/blade juncture and then stippled inside to compliment the rest of his beautiful work......and also balances exactly where the blade meets the handle.

Here's a picture with a Desk Knife that I got from him, the beautiful 'sheath' and handle crafted of the same Ebony with a covering of pierced and deep-relief engraved Sterling silver.....

A classic example of FORM MEETS FUNCTION!!!

What an original design of a great looking user (although I'd personally won't be comfortable using such a beauty)! Congratulations!

I agree - I bought his French kitchen knife, it's great.

There's a little leaf pattern on the handle that he carried over to the sheath!

Great attention to detail.

Dudley,

Why don't I know who you are talking about? Who is Dmitry? Certainly good work.

Clue me in.

Very nice fellow who learned his skills back in Russia and is living over here now. The scary part is that I think he is going to start forging his blades now.
:D
