Just picked up a knife made by David Mosier. Got it off the secondary market, but it is totally mint and has never been carried...............until I got it! This is one solid knife. Mr. Mosier has definately overbuilt this knife to stand up under hard use. I'll include the specs so that you can see for yourself;

*blade measures .175" at it's thickest point and is 4.0" in length. *blade steel is S30V with a very nice satin finish and is a spearpoint with the false
edge running about 3/4th's of the blade length. *liners are made of titanium and measure .095" in thickness and the locking liner has to be the stiffest one I've felt yet! Not uncomfortable, but reassuring that it will not slip over and unlock. Also, the relief in the liner for the spring is shallow leaving about 1/2 of the liners thickness, shouldn't be a "weak point" for this folder. * handle material is green canvas micarta that has been nicely polished and is not slick in the hand, but still has some stick left. Bolsters are of cf and are dovetailed. *the fit and finish on this knife is really very good. All the edges are slightly rounded so that there are no hot spots when holding it, blade is centered, and the liner comes over to cover the blade tang completly, leaving plenty of wear room. Upon closing the detent just seem to grab the blade the last 1/2" and pull it in on its own. *clip is mounted for tip up only and is a very heavy duty clip, you won't bend this one accidentally! *the blade action is extremely smooth throughout the entire opening arc.

As you can see this is a very well built knife that should handle some hard work. It will find it's way into my daily rotation. The only negative I have with it is 1) the opening disc is too small and you really have to get your finger on it securely. An oblong disc, or a thumb ramp would help with this. Other than that I'm well pleased with this knife and in looking over the DMK website I can see another one of these in my future. Btw, the model I have is called the Reverance.:thumbup: :D :thumbup:

You made an excellent choice to buy from a great knifemaker. I just ordered a Serron Framelock and a Shidobu Warrior DP with some of my own flair added to them. It looks like I have alot of knives to buy from David.

I like David Mosiers' knives. I have owned 2 of his works. I so want a Serron folder. And there are so many others I want too.
