Can someone please give me their opinion on the kit? and does DMT make good products? The deluxe comes with course,fine,and extra fine diamond wet stones and has the options for extra course and extra extra fine diamond whetstones. http://www.dmtsharp.com/products/other.htm (third item down)

The aligner kit is a good product... just keep in mind that clamp type kits have their limits on what they can do (think blade size, available angles, and abrasive size)... but within those limits it works great. DMT makes quality products... no issues there. The extra coarse stone is good to have if you have blades that need a lot of work... the extra extra fine if you want to further refine the edge, but the stones that come with it will do a great job. Between the typcial choices (Lansky, Gatco, Aligner), I think the Aligner is the best of the 3, but all 3 will get a knife sharp.
