Does anyone out there know how the color coding on the double sided DMT benchstones work? I realize red is fine and green is for extra fine, but this double sided stone (fine/extrafine) has red with a green dot on one side and the everse on the other. Anybdy know?
Thx in advance, Bill

my benchstone came with instructions telling me what the color is what, did yours not come with any?

Hi Wetworker...

DMT color coding is as such:

Green : Extra Fine
Red : Fine
Blue : Coarse

Thats right off the package..

very odd
rifter, his is red with a dot and the reverse on the other side
i suggest you email DMT and ask them
or it COULD be on the package :)

There is a huge differnce in the feel of fine vs x-fine, run your finger along them and one should be significantly rougher than the other.
