DMT Dia-Sharp Suede Pouch?

I have the Spyderco UF stone and it has this nice suede pouch/case for storage. I would like to have something similar for two new DMT Dia-Sharp (2x6) dual sided stones. DMT doesn't seem to make them so I'm looking for some type of alternative.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Vinyl slips work better with diamonds. The ceramic is smooth, so it goes in and out of a suede slip case without issue, but a diamond plate wouldn't work so well.

For my DMT stones, I use heavyweight freezer baggies.

I cut them to size and use plain clear tape to seal the edge. Later, I used my food vacuum sealer to heat-seal the edges.

I've put each of my 2" x 6" DiaSharp hones in quart-size ZipLoc Freezer bags (the 'sandwich bags' are a bit too small), then slipped those vertically into the pouches of an inexpensive canvas nail apron, which can then be folded up & tied securely into a compact bundle. Those aprons can be found at Home Depot/Lowe's for less than a dollar. That's worked for me so far.

Oh, excellent idea. I spent a fair bit of time looking for a canvas tool roll and hadn't event thought about those apron's from Lowes/Home Depot!

Thank you Obsessed.

Those particular aprons are pretty lightweight, appropriate to their price tag. I'd originally picked up one from each of HD & Lowe's (to compare quality of each), hoping to use them with some of my tools for around-the-house maintenance tasks. They'd likely wear out pretty fast in such use, as the 'canvas' is pretty frail stuff and the stitching is minimal and likely to come undone in time. But, as a simple protective wrap for my diamond hones, they fit the job pretty well. I even use one of them for my uber-cheap Harbor Freight diamond hones (3 for $10), in exactly the same way. Just an easy way to keep them contained and protected from dings & such.

Thanks for the additional information.

It's funny you mention the Harbor Freight hones. I picked up that package of three for $10-$12 as an experiment to see if after 15+ years of using the Sharpmaker I could successfully freehand sharpen. I figured if it was a disaster I was only out $12. Turns out I did a better job freehand than I did with the Sharpmaker! I then ordered the much more expensive DMT stones.
