DMT Diamond Paste

Hello all.

I just picked up a 3 pack of the DMT Diamond paste in 1, 3, and 6 micron syringes. I did this because a single syringe was $13 and a 3 pack was $23, hell it was a damn good deal.

My delema is I only have two strops. I sharpen my knives with a DMT Aligner and have the EEF stones. Maybe soon to have a Sharpmaker.

With all this in mind which two compound should I use to get the best out of my sharpening. I'd really like to create a mirror edge if possible!

If all you have is the EEF stone, then I suggest you use the 6 micron before it and the 1 micron after it. I believe the EEF is right around 3 microns.

Or... put the third paste onto a different substrate. Stop off at a home center and pick up a free paint stirring stick. This makes a great surface for a strop with compound, and the price can't be beat!
