Picked up a DMT DuoBase hone holder this week (on-line, like most of my shopping seems to be these days
), after finally getting tired of my 8” DMTs sliding around on the old mouse pad I was using for a base. It’s made out of “engineered resin” whatever that is, black plastic stuff, quite sturdy. Very versatile, it will fit all DuoSharp models down to 6 x 2”. Sure makes it handier – it elevates the hone so no knuckle scraping. There are moveable clips on both ends, and eight rubber feet to keep it from sliding. Good design, like all my DMTs.
(There's also a model with MagnaBase Adapter, which I gather uses magnets to hold the hones.)
