Hey Folks- I'm in the process of reprofiling a blade made out of 154cm. Tough work for a relative novice. I was wondering if someone can point out a link or model number to a suitable DMT Diamond stone (course or x-course I guess) that will be suitable for leaning against the rods of a Sharpmaker. Thanks in advance!

For a little while I was using DMT Knife Sharpener, D6 Coarse Dia-Sharp Diamond Knife Sharpener, DMT-D6C, which I got at

I used large binder clip to clamp this stone to the rod.
Just do not apply too much pressure, you can scrap diamonds off, apply light pressure and let diamond to do their job.

Alright, that looks perfect..thank you kindly...I spent a fruitless afternoon hitting sporting good stores and the local gun shop, no DMT products to be found in Birmingham, AL...everybody seems to carry good ole Smith's products though, including Wally-World...placing my order now..

thanks again!

I've used the double-sided extra-coarse/fine version of the one in bh49's link on my sharpmaker (from an ebay store). Either rubber bands or a foam wedge at the base does a decent job of holding it in place for me.
