Lots of variety, or you can even go with the credit card sharpeners DMT has.

I carry a DC4 for my "on the go" sharpening tasks.

It works well for non-recurved edges.

never tried the DMTs so i cant comment on that, I do however have a DC4 with me and it is suuUuuper in the field. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

I have both the DC3 and DC4 - I especially like the DC4. I find the DC3 to be a little smaller than I prefer (still works fine though). I set the edge with the diamonds, refine it a bit on the ceramic, and finish by stropping it on the thick leather case. Done!

Frankly, I've never liked the edge I get from using *only* diamond hones - I like to refine it a little further and the DC3/DC4 let me do that all in one.
