Do all Delica 4's have a tight new action?

This is my first Delica, I have the PM2, Manix 2, Tenacious, Resilience and this little knife has the stiffest action yet. I have loosened the pivot pin and lubed the washers and such but it is still stiff. I hope it's just a break in period. It's the gray scaled model and I like VG-10 fine. Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated.

Yup. Normal.

My Manix 2 opens like its assisted and my Para 3 and Tenacious aren't too far behind.

My hardest to open Spydercos are my Delica, Endura and Native 5... all in FRN.

Different lock all together. Likely will break in a bit, but still, it is a backlock.

I have a small collection of Delica 4 (approx. 15) and almost all were slightly stiff when new.
My preference is Nano-Oil in the pivot and washers,,, some do need a slight adjustment of the main pivot screw tension.
All are now very smooth and will partially close with a gently flick when the lockbar is disengaged.

Mine sure was stiff; like bleeding thumb stiff. Perhaps I had an outlier, but lubing, pivot adjustment, and even washer polishing didn’t help. I wound up putting a gentle radius on the detent portion of the blade tang. I did not want to mess with the lock spring. Like butter now.

I recently bought a stainless steel Delica and Endura. I can't comment on how it compares to other Spyderco knives (or other folders, for that matter) as I don't own others, but neither seemed overly stiff to me, and would open easily enough with one hand, and close withput a problem. The Delica did feel a little tighter than the Endura, though, but neither were problematic.

I don’t know what you may consider a “tight action” on the delica. I do know that a delica does not have “fire open” action. There is no finger flicking or spring assist or ball bearing like smoothness deploying the blade. To me a delica is a intentional opening type of pocket friendly folder. I own many delicas and it is my favorite small companion. But speed is never a word I would use to describe its operation.

Not worried about speed, just didn't take into consideration the lock back.

Big difference after some lube and working the action back and forth. Now the blade freely drops when the lock is pushed. Tried a new lubricant called " super slick slick stuff" don't now if anyone else has tried it but it works well.
