Do all kydex sheaths come so stiff?

I ordered a kydex sheath for my Fallkniven F1 off of ebay (it's actually a guy who is around here on the forums, too). Anyhow, it looks fantastic, but it's so stiff it's pretty much unuseable. It's so stiff it was kinda chewing up the rubber handle as I was trying to stuff it and work it in to use it.

I ended up taking to grommets that were outside the sheath holding the belt loop on and slipping them in between the sheath layers to space out the sheath more. That helped, but I can't help but think maybe something may be wrong in the way it was made. Any advice would be appreciated.

The sheath design should from the beginning allow the knife to deploy and re seat within the rig with minimal effort, yes it should have some retention properties but should not function in the fashion you describe.
Perhaps the sheath is designed to deploy and re seat in a particular fashion that you are unaware of ?
In any case, contact the maker if there is a problem I am sure that they will make it right.

yep contact the maker it should not be that stiff or tight.
