I have seen lot's of antique Khukuri that looked like this but modern samples have the more pronounced angle.

Ideally I would like somehting between this and a CS LTC but deeply and broadly paneled with a slim, silver monted handle.

Pardon my broken english in the title line!

I really like that one....man....what a piece!

The Samsher/Shamsher (?) model comes close to it too:
(something I've lusted over ever since seeing one)

Andy IIRC there have been a couple or three over the last couple of months but then I could be mistaken and thinking of the 14" models. I haven't handled the 10" but the 14" is a delight. ;) :D

the 10 incher is amazing...considering it's only an inch longer than the Kerambit.

The Samsher is 10 or 14 inches? It looked longer than than in the picture. I don't remember seeing any, but I'm still pretty green.

No, they switched subjects. They're now talking about the BDC at the extreme right in the photos.

when you said "I like that one too" I thought you meant the 10" BDC.

The Samsher is around 17"-18" but there is a 20" one too.

The Shamsher is a beautiful kukri. How many have been made/ sold? I've not seen them. (maybe I haven't been around long enough). I think I would really like one of those.

I really like the blade style of the first pic could / would H.I. make a run of it?

I'm a huge fan of the straighter style blades and think this blade with a handle like on the B.D.C. would be an excellent user.

Just my two cents worth.

Well I got sick of waiting for something with that blade pattern so I took my discontinued 1992 ATC Flat Ground Machete and made a larger handle frame for it.

I would still love to buy an old style Leaf Bladed Kukhri like the one in my first pic from HI if they will ever make it.

Dan, What is that blade on the top left? It reminds me a little of a khopesh.

If I may answer for Dan.

That is the HI Hasiya. Has not been one on a DOTD for a while. A number of them came up for sale last year.

Eric.
