Do Case bone handles have a finish on em?

Is the bone raw, or is there any kind of clear finish on them?

They probably do something to "stabilize" them also, don't they?

I had a Case 6318 that had greenish colored bone scales. Like most, it had a gloss to the finish. When I cleaned the joint with hot soapy water, I also washed down the scales. When they dried, it took away the gloss and gave the bone a natural finish. I actually liked the look better without the gloss... YMMV
