Do Clips Strip out of Micarta Handles?

The only Micarta knife I own is a Calypso Jr. I've been eyeing the Viele knife on and off for a couple years.

On the Viele, does the pocket clip connect all the way through the steel liner, or is it only connected to the Micarta scale?

Champion - The Jess Horn Micarta has no liners. We screw the clip screws directly into the micarta. We've not had a problem doing that with the Horn model. The type of micarta and thread size of the screw are critical.
