I have 2 sets on order to use in my Sharpmaker. Do they need mineral oil like I have used on my Norton Crystolons or can they be used dry or with water?
Jim Ankerson, the guru of Moldmaster hones imho, prefers to use Windex on them.
(They're just silicon carbide, so they can be lubricated with water, oil or used dry...but...I'd go with Jim's advice as he's worked with them a great deal. He prefers the 320 and 400 grit hones for most of his sharpening work.)

I use water with a drop of dish soap for Moldmaster #240, 320, and 400.
The #600 stone should be used dry, as it absorbs water and becomes very friable.
I just soak mine in water and that's it's for me,one thing to watch for with the Mold Master stones is they are soft stone and soak up a good bit of water and if you let them soak to long you may damage them.
I just soak mine until they stop bubbling and then maybe for 2 to 4 minutes after that and then they are good to go.
