do do self defense

My guess:

Strong construction and lock,
Good ergos in saber, natural and reverse edge-out grips, not sure about reverse edge-in,
Aggressive profile for a small blade,
Tapers to a fine pommel for a nice small striking surface and horns at hilt end,
Small blade and inoffensive look is a consideration for some.

Warm?

I would rather press this style into SD role than any other 2" knife. The G-10 scales provide enough to grasp in any orientation, and are "Grippy" enough to stay put. Clearly not a "Tactical" knife, but that's one of the reasons why I love the Dodo.

My guess it is a slashing weapon much more so than stabbing, not because of the blade length, but the blade shape.
But it will be wicked slicing/slashing.

If you read into the promo material about the Dodo, it says the handle is comfortable in both forward and reverse grips.
Reverse grip is not commonly refered to in a general utility capacity, it is almost always associated with MBC/blade combatives methodology.
Just think of this as a type of folding SPOT with a longer blade.

take care,
Ken

ps. make a run with black handles.
