do G10 and micarta both use the same resin?

phenolic resins? i understand you can make your own "homebrew micarta" by using epoxy's or fiberglass, can you also make G10 type materials?

does anyone know if you can get phenolic resins to make something even closer to actual micarta? fiberglas and epoxies dont generally hold up well to heat. at least not as well as micarta does (at least i dont think)

maybe acraglas? it probably holds up to heat fairly well.
