Do I Keep Her?

My wife's 40 year probation period in this marriage will expire on July 11.

We walked into the Blade Show Saturday on my 65th birthday, Kathy said "happy birthday, now go buy yourself a gift from me." She knew that I was going to buy Busses anyway, so I figured that those don't count. I had to go get the Lion Steel SR-1 for the gift.

Yeah, I think I'll extend her contract a few years more.

On another Blade Show matter, I had about decided that I wouldn't buy the Light Argonne Assault when it came out. That was before I snagged the $250 discount card for it so that decision will likely be reversed.
The $100 discount card on the Light Gemini didn't hurt my feelings, either. All told, Kim and I snagged $510 worth of discounts so all these deals are going to blow a big hole in our budget.

Kathy and I had a great time. If we can ever get Kim to open up, come out of her shell and overcome her shyness, she is going to really enjoy these things, too.

Congratulations on the 40 years--she's a keeper. And way to clean up on those discounts--sounds like they were flyin' high!

I know this is the part of BF where "No Regrets" is the standard, BUT I think in this case if you do let this one go you'll be kicking yourself for the rest of your life!!! (She may kick you a little bit too.....but you'd DESERVE IT!!!)

Congrats on making it this far....now try and double it!!!

All the Best to you both,

Stump

So cool! I am going on 11 years with the wife. She did tell me to order a knife for my Bday (muckity muck!), then she told me to order a scrapivore. I managed to resist the overwhelming desire to do so (so many bills, Washer crapped out, so there went 2K for a new set, new lawn mower, car in the shop-- got off easy on that one 100- then my computer crapped out, 1100 total by the time I added the extras, my blue tooth for my phone is broken (always on) so I need another one, my kid was in the hospital for three days, so that one was 3k out of pocket.......oh, and my student loans are 1k per month!!!!!!)

So this year I have been able to score a few knives (KZII and Muck). So I think I am "good" for now!

Wish I could have gone to blade to bond with all the great folks there!

Congrats on the keeper!

It was great to see you all. You lucky, lucky devil.

Next year, I'm putting a "meaningful sum" aside so the wife and I can stand somewhere next to you at the Trough. You discount magnet, you!:)
