Do i loctite this?!

Okay, complete newbie/FNG question. I took apart my Wilson Combat Umnumzaan to put my own lanyard and bead on it, but am not sure if i should loctite the pivot screw after putting it back together. It seems i could unscrew it very easily now and really DO NOT want this falling apart while i use it. Thanks in advance for any advice given !

A drop of purple loctite will suffice. Blue can be used very sparingly in a pinch. If you have neither...teflon tape the male threads and that will work as well.

Use the loctite. It will keep the screw from backing out but you should still be able to remove it if you need to.

Well i just bought the blue loctite (didn't realize there was a color difference!) so I'll use a tiny bit. Thanks so much guys!!!

Good idea! I'll do that next time. I gently turned the tube on it's side and it just pored out! I had to wipe it off EVERYTHING! Luckily i was doing this on an old rag.

Loctite 222 purple = " low strength for occasional adjustment"
cures in 10 minutes with full strength in 24 hours.
Loctite 242 blue = "medium strength for nuts and bolts"
