Do IKBS knives need lubricant?

I just picked up my first knife with IKBS, nothing special just a CRKT ripple. I'v never had a flipper so wanted to see what its like
Never had a knife in IKBS before so do they need lubricant like other folders do?

Always a safe bet to keep lubricant in moving parts :thumbup:

Some say yes, some say no.

RJ Martin uses a slightly different bearings system but he advises absolutely NO lubricant.

I would try it with and without, and decide yourself.
or you could ask the manufacturer/maker of your particular knife.
Either way, use lubricant sparingly.

The one negative I can think of is that oil/grease tend to attract dirt and grime.

They should come with a healthy bit of grease from the factory. Unless you strip that lubricant out or get grit into the pivot there shouldn't be a need to re-lubricate anytime soon. If you do get grit/strip the lubricant out cleaning it though then absolutely re-lube it.
