Looking for a nice, cheap, decent looking and long lasting fire pit? We use a stainless washing machine drum. All the holes provide oxygen to make a nice fire. Just prop it up on some pavers or bricks, add wood and flames. Pirate one out of a dead washing machine and your good to go. Can be left outside and lasts for years in the elements. Best of all it costs nothing. This one is in it's 3 rd year and has been outside in the SW FL heat, rain and humidity. Marshmallows not included.

A buddy of mine uses the same thing. Seen it in action. It works great.

The first time I saw this, one of the dad's in our Cub Scout Pack brought it to a campout. Everybody loved it, and several have them in their backyards now.

I have a washer sitting in my garage, waiting for a trip to the scrap yard. I will have to give this a try. My wife has been begging for one of them fancy fire pits. This would work perfectly!

Daniel they work great and make a nice hot fire due to the great air flow from all the holes. Plus they are free.

Nice. Looks like it would be great for throwing a grill on to cook over too.

I just put one together last fall with wall blocks (pavers?). Can't remember what I paid, but just waited until late in the season when they went on sale to clear out home & garden stuff. They were at least half off Depot's regular price.
