Do Kershaw Factory Seconds Have XXXX On Blade?

Mine does. Can't for the life of me spot the flaw that made it a second, though.
 
I have two ZTs which were sent to me by Kershaw as defects years ago, (no boxes or paperwork), but only one has the xxxx on the blade.

I don't know that any conclusion can necessarily be drawn from that...perhaps one was simply a return...but the one labeled with the xxxx does have minor issues where the other does not seem like a blem to me.
 
Many but not all of the knives sold at the annual Kershaw sale are marked with the Xs. IMHO they’re always serviceable blades and most times I cannot spot any flaws. I believe they mostly do it to discourage mass resale which could hurt the brands.
