Do Kydex/Nylon sheaths with plastic insert blunt the blade?

Several of my (fixed blade) knives come with a Nylon sheath, that have a hard plastic insert. When sheathing/drawing the knife, should a point be made to pull it out so that the side that rubs against the sheath is the unsharpened top edge, as opposed to the sharpened edge, or does it not make a difference?

Edit: Whoops. I meant to post this in the Sheaths & Such subforum.

I don't see much of a problem. I make lots of leather sheaths with kydex liners and have not noticed any dulling.

So it's totally fine when the knife "cuts" the sheath (not through of course) everytime it's being sheathed or drawn?

Plastic cutting boards are sort of like that

I know, but that's exactly it. Repeated usage of a knife will dull it (just depends on how soon it gets dulled). What I mean is whether drawing/sheathing a knife from a sheath with plastic or kydex lining/inserts would cause that "wear" quicker than say, leather.

Becker had this same problem with their neck knife, and I herd that they changed the sheath material in the recently modern ones
