Hello folks-

I have a fairly popular website that deals with knot-tying.
I've added a page that deals with appropriate knives for this purpose. This involves somewhat reviews of knife types, and rigging knives in general. I would appreciate constructive feedback on this. Please remember that this is not aimed at the knife enthusiast, but rather knotters that are looking for appropriate tools.

The site is http://www.folsoms.net/knots

Let me know what you think, and how I can make it better.

Thanks,

Al Folsom

Very cool site.

Here are some additions for your perusal and disposal if you so desire...

Serrations are excellent for cutting poly-propolene line that is wet. The strands are so tough that it is friction that does the cutting and a shaving sharp knife will not cut that rope under water...it is the weirdest feeling.

You did not touch on one hand folders in your text and the excellent utility available when you can access your knife while one hand is "tangled" up in a project.

Lastly...the marlin spike is also used in splicing line. We developed an rectangular marlin spike instead of round to force it into a knot or strands of rope and force them apart just by rotating the spike...we did not introduce that product but I pass that info on to you.

Scouts are a great group and I applaud you your service.
