Do most people prefer black ink?

I just saw something in another post that reminded me the last time I was at Office Max, looking at $5+ pens, the majority of them only came in black ink. (to my chagrin, since I prefer blue ink) This makes me wonder whether this is actually based on demand or whether the store and/or company needs their brain lightbulb screwed in a little tighter.
So, which do you prefer? Thanks.

I greatly prefer blue. Its brighter, but more important, you can tell at a glance its an original.

I like black but don't mind blue.

I believe that many years ago when you photocopied something blue would often not show in the copy, so black ink was required to fill in forms, signatures, etc..

Photocopying technology has improved but many places still insist that forms and signatures must be black. Many people don't know why it was required to use black but still think it has to be so.

Hi All-

My preference is for a dark blue ink that allows one to better see "differences" between the original black ink of forms and the blue ink of what it is that one is writing on the actual form.

My Department specified that we MUST carry a black medium point ink pen for the above reason. The reports were coppied,re-coppied so many times that other color ink would fade with each re-copy.tom.

Black ink. Military doesn't allow anything else and its been ingrained in me...
