Do new Militarys have backspacers?

Did the standard military get changed to an open design? If so, when?

Curious as well about where the point of balance would be on a version without a backspacer. Mine (with the aluminum backspacer) balances right on the liner lock.

I’m new to the Spyderco game, had a benchmade or five over the years, but just got into spidies a couple months ago.

The newer ones have standoffs.

A friend of mine has the “older” version with the spacer and I have a newer version and I didn’t notice a balance point difference. I was looking for a difference and remember that spacer being very light.

I think the first update may have been the Blurple S110V run of Militaries where standoffs were implemented; unless someone else chimes in with a model I may have missed?

Cool, I think I’ll leave my Military as is then, with the backspacer. Kind of reminds me of my old AFCK that way too.

Mine -- a KW CTS-204P version with no backspacer -- has its balance point right on the liner lock.

I don't own an older Millie to do a comparison, but it sounds like nothing's changed in that respect.
