Do Rick Hinderer make a carbon fiber scale for the production xm 18

They exist, I have one on my 3". They don't seem terribly common though and only Rob could say if they have any available. Or you could check with dealers.

They don't have any available right now as of yesterday. I couldn't find any for the 3" but monkey edge has textured cf in and knife art had smooth and textured right now. If anyone else knows places that have them available please let us know.

Over in the Kershaw / ZT forum I know there are guys that own and sell scales for the collaborations. A little searching and reading might turn up your answer.

I actually really like looks of it, but like all CF that I've handled it slicker than G10. Even with the texturiing it's a bit slick for my weak hands. I need all the gripping help I can get, so I'm putting either the black G10 that I just got or a nicer color one if I stumble across one. Thank for the pointer to the ZT guys, I'll try it.


Of course when I finally get the scale off it'll probably marked on the underside.




ETA:, I just bought a light grey stock scale for it from the classifieds, so the black stock scale will just be a backup or trade fodder. :thumbup:
