Just wondering here, do you think Special Forces use Busse's, if they do what one would they favour. This is probably a stupid question to you guys but the thought of Special Forces sneaking around and using Busse's does strange things to me. Oooh I think I can feel it coming on now.....:D

I beleieve that there is a special forces handle in some of the new line knives, so I would say yes they (at leaset some) are using Busses. Jerry is not the kind of guy to just make things like that up. Wish I had one :D

100 men, go out today...

but only 3 wear the green beret

hope I remembered that right

Pointy, Busses are in use by all level of our forces. I would stand to reason that SF members know the benefit of INFI....;) :D

Back at home, a young wife waits...
Her Green Beret has met his fate...
He has died for those oppressed...
Leaving her his last request...

“Put silver wings on my son’s chest
Make him one of America’s best
He’ll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret”

I still have my 45rpm of that. Sad that it gets no air play these days (heck, for a couple decades...)

Didn't I hear that he died a couple years ago?

(sorry for the hijack...)

I'm not sure if that fellow is dead or not. I can't remember his name:o But I recently saw the song for sale as part of a CD on a late night commercial. I remember it best from the John Wayne movie.
He was a good cowboy, but he cracks me up as a soldier.

The man's name was Barry Sadler. He was a Viet Nam era Green Beret, was a one hit country music wonder, and the author of the "Casca" series of books. Died several years ago now... if we ever meet in person, I can tell you a funny story about all this.;) ;)

*Edintedd 'cuz I kant SpElllll*

For those who are interested, you can find an abreviated Sadler history and link to the song at this sight...

Fighting soldiers from the sky,
Fearless men who jump and die.
Men who mean just what they say,
The brave men of The Green Beret.

Silver wings upon their chests,
These are men, America's best,
One hundred men we'll test today,
But only three win The GreenBeret.

Trained to live off nature's land,
Trained in combat, hand to hand.
Men who fight by night and day,
Courage take from The Green Beret.

Silver wings upon their chests,
These are men, America's best,
One hundred men we'll test today,
But only three win The Green Beret.

Back at home a young wife waits,
Her Green Beret has met his fate.
He has died for those oppressed.
Leaving her this last request.

Put silver wings on my son's chest,
Make him one of America's best,
He'll be a man they'll test one day,
Have him win The Green Beret.

graduated from high school in 69, listen to the song several times a week. i have it if anybody wants it mailed to them.

in 1814 took a little trip
along with colonel jackson down the mighty missisip

we took a little bacon

and we took a little bean

and we fought the Bloody British

in the town of New Orleans.

:D

Do folks on the other forums have this much fun? I don't think so. (Except maybe Swamp Rat, but they're still family)

One thing I still don't understand...why do people want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

. . . .We fired our guns and the british kept a comin'
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

we fired our guns and the british kept a comin'

wasn't now as many as there was a while ago

we fired once more and they begin a runnin'

down the Mississippi to the gulf of mexico

we fired our guns 'til the barrels melted down

then we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round

we stuffed his head full of cannon balls

and powdered his behind

and when we set the powder off

the 'gator lost his mind
