Do the Classic and Regular Small Sebenza have the same blade?

Hi guys. I was just wondering if the blade shapes are the same as I thought I read somewhere they were a little different. If they are different, would someone have a pic comparing the two? Thanks.

I can't post pics but I can tell you that the blades are slightly different.
The regular has sort of a drop-point and the classic has more of a clip-point.

I'm sure someone wil post some pics...

And the classic is slightly longer than the regular. The regular has more belly to the blade and the classic has more of a point.

Yeah, they're just scaled versions of their smaller counterparts. It seems like most people favor one design over the other, I personally like the feel of the classic sebs a little more. I like the blade shape too, I'd like to get one with a swedge eventually. You can't go wrong with either. It's all personal preference.

Thanks guys. Is it possible to inter-change the blades? I ask because a buddy of mine just got a small classic and by quickly comparing them, I would have sworn our blades were the same. I'm gonna have to go over to his place to confirm this. Thanks again.

In each picture the regular is on top classic is below. As Greg said with the small sebenzas it is harder to see the difference in blade shape. Try to look past my crappy photographic skills.

Small Sebenzas first:

Now the Large Sebenza:

I hope these pics help.

Thanks very much for the pic! I can see the difference and I'm happy to say mine is how it's supposed to be.

Hi flipe8,

Years ago when I got my first Sebenza (small regular) i actually thought a mistake had been made and I got a classic blade on my regular knife. As I aquired more Sebenzas and was able to compare, i could see a difference between the two.

In the smalls, the difference is VERY subtle. In the larges it's much more pronounced. I prefer the regular large shape. (NICA Tanto actually is my mostest favorite:thumbup: )

Here's to hoping for a wharncliffe someday:D

John...

When I looked at the above picture, Iwas able to see the difference. I still went over to my bud's house to compare with his Classic and the difference was much more obvious. We both thought the Classic cutting edge was slightly longer as well. Just slightly.
I'm also thinking REAL hard about the NICA tanto!
