I don't generally use nail nicks. I just grab the blade and pull it open.

I'm with the other guys ...that's a sleek looking gentelmans knife.
I like the scale material...the mosaic pins are a nice touch. i also like the lines of the front bolster. of course the file work is outstanding.

The fact that it is damascus lends itself to the nickless opening. No fingersmudges. I daresay you didn't even need that scallop. Plenty of purchase area.

As usual, a fine knife and a display to be proud of. :thumbup:
