Do yo prefer to choose the sheath "options"?

By "options" I mean either:

A) Have input in how it is built, if made by me. (Left or right handed, height and angle)
B) Decide if you want to have the sheath made by a third party.

I am working on a little Damascus fighter and although I know how I would want the sheath, it may not necessarily what the eventual buyer likes. Update: this one will probably get a stand instead of a sheath but I would still like you input for future "sheathed" knives. Thanks

PS: I posted this in Shoptalk but it has been suggested that I post it here as I obviously want the buyers/collectors feedback.

Yes, I enjoy being involved in the design/style of the sheaths and knives and I purchase.

I perfer to have a sheath made by the knifemaker if they are skilled. Examples of these knifemakers would be Larry Fuegan,
Tim Hancock, Jay Hendrickson, Kyle Royer, Gerhart Wieland and others. If not, then there's a very short list of sheathmakers
for my consideration.

Most of my knives have custom made stands, however I still want a nice sheath to complete the display.

If it's an ordered piece, I generally like some input on the sheath. If it's a show knife, I'd rather the sheath be provided with the knife so I don't have an additional wait in order to get the knife.

It's great to be able to get a sheath directly from the maker that really compliments the knife. There are a lot a great knifemakers who aren't great sheathmakers, though. In that case, I rely on Long / Rowe / Treestump.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen, I really appreciate. I did not think about needing a sheath on top of a stand.

The thing is, I am really not a good sheathmaker. Not that I am so much better at making knives but still the difference is very noticeable. So either I try and get better (which takes away from knifemaking) or use one of the good sheathmakers you mentioned. But in any case I think I better wait until I have a buyer to get his input.

Thanks again.
