I'd like to but I'm too worried about the blade opening on me. So IWB carry for me is reserved strictly for lockbacks.

For those of you who carry a liner lock regularly IWB I'm curious if you've ever had a close call or any problems with the blade opening.

This applies to SOB carry too.

I carry my liner locks - Spyderco Military, BM AFCK's, Buck Strider, MT LCC and several others - both IWB and SOB and I never had a problem.

Regards Jan

I've never had a problem. I even had an Emereson Specwar that would "flex" the titanium liner but it would never close accidentally. I love liner locks. :)

That is why the detent ball is placed in the liner lock. To keep the blade from accidentally opening by gravity in the pocket. So long as this ball is placed properly so that it catches the blade the blade is secure when closed.

I've carried a liner lock for many many years and never had issue with it.

IWB is my typical mode of carry. I've carried liner-locks and every other type of lock without a single problem.

Hi All-

Quality linerlock knives from both Benchmade and Microtech have been carried this way for years with absolutely no problems.
