Do you ever use a Sharpmaker on your Busses?

I recently purchased a Spyderco Sharpmaker and have used it on most of my folding knives with great success(Spydercos, Strider SnG, Victornox). Wow does it make sharpening easy! I am entertaining using it on my Bm-e, but wondered first if anyone else has had experience with a sharpmaker on their Busses.

Thanks Gents!

I'm no professional - but yeah, I use one and it works great.

It's hard to reprofile though w/the included rods -- you can maintain the edge easily though...

I used one to put a highly polished (XF ceramic) 30 degree cutting edge on a Mud Razor and a Skeleton Key. It did take a while, but the results were outstanding, if I do say so myself. The only trouble was the coating; the black on the SK was tenacious and hard to get out of the way; the brown on the MR chipped alot.

The old Busse instructions recommend stropping on ceramic crock sticks and that is exactly what the Sharpmaker is. (Not counting the diamond rods.)

I use a blue DMT to move alot of metal, and use my Sharpmaker for everything else.

My local hardware (McGuckin's) had 2 of the grey (coarse) sticks on the bargin table, $8.99 ;). Their a little light for reprofiling but work great for serious touchup.
