... For not getting a knife when you have the chance? For me, it's the 309/301 with charcoal dymondwood scales. Multiple times I considered getting one, but never did. And now, they're elusive. Ugh. Maybe eventually I'll find one second hand. Anyone else ever done this?

Mrsz, Yes, I have done what you mention. My hesitation was on a Empress Trio set. The knives were used and without the walnut display case but still I could have cleaned them up and maybe found the holder later. It was at a Gun show and as I walked around I thought about it. Then returned to purchase them and to my amazement another Buck collector had snatched them up. Crud... DM

Yep! Wish I would have snagged that folding Kalinga. Beautiful knife. Next week it's a Buck/Tops CSAR while they still make em.

I probably have, but can't remember any right now.

What I did one time that I wish I could take back was sell Scott a Buck 500 Duke with excellent Sambar stag and Damascus bolsters.
I sure wish I had that one back.

Yes. At an auction one time there were a bunch of Bucks and though I ended up with more than a dozen purchases I didn't snag a burgundy micarta 124 when I could have. Reason, I already had one. Won't do that again.

I saw a XM18 DLC thought about it went back maybe 10mins later and it was gone. Shit or get off the pot.

Sebenza 25 like new for $125.
CRK Mark IV, made in his Africa shop. $275
Buck (560?) titanium folder. $25
Buckamster 184. <$100

Yeah, I kick my own butt once in a while.
Not too hard though. Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20...

You mean like this one ? :D They are great knives and being an early model, mine came with the pocket sheath which is very cool...

Here is the one I let go that I wish I had back....and I'm not even much of a Buck 500 guy.

I remember the Club offering that. It has a damascus frame. That's why I didn't go for one. I like a stainless, polished frame. Still, yours had nice stag handles. You'll get another something similar. DM

You know Mike, there is something about Charcoal Dymondwood that photographs well in the snow and ice! This one (from 2012) was gifted to me by a friend in Kentucky. OH
Ps Mrs Zeon, yes - too often!

Those have been up all the time lately on the auction site, there has even been a few that were unopened.

Very true... That's a great picture

After scouring the internet... A couple dozen dealers (or more), and various auction site searches with no luck, I started looking for something a little different, and what do you know...

It was a factory blem, though the seller wasn't sure what the blem was. I couldn't really tell from the pictures either. After looking it over, the only problem I can see if the shield is a bit sunk. Other than that, it's great.

They had Vanguards on the web special page a while back in ATS-34 for $40 each. Should have bought 2 at least.

Remember the 651 PigSticker ? I traded one I had bought new for $45.00....I still wish I had that Buck. Every really big Buck I've ever owned has somehow got away from me. Funny how hard learned lessons stay with you.
