Do you feel like a stud?

I finished up this sheath last week for a Chopper in A2 and Koa. First time I made a sheath with a stud instead of a belt loop. Although not the motivating reason for making a stud, I thought it would be less work. It wasn't. I hope you like it. The D-ring detail on the back is something I learned from Paul. Thanks Paul!

Wow,,,,, just Wow !!!!

I took a quick glimpse through your website. You make some really really nice knives !!! The leather work is very nice too. But those knives !!!! I’ll have to check back when those books open :-)

Is that a bungie type cord? I wonder as it looks like you could replace it with a longer cord, then wrap it first around the handle, then over the guard and on to the stud for a more secure carry. In any case very nice work on both the knife and sheath! John

Thanks guys.

John, The strap is unnecessary and there only for insurance. The sheath is snug and the fit is exact. If the sheath is inverted and shaken the knife will not fall out. The cord is just a heavy duty hair elastic band. It was chosen so the client could remove it if they wish or easily replace it if becomes damaged. It also works using the stud as the closure to keep things simple.
