I just put in an order for a few different colors of paracord. I got navy, red, grey, kelly green and "neon lemon."

I already had some "foliage green" and "coyote brown."

Fun. Don't know how the neon lemon color would look on a knife, but I bought 50 ft anyway, to use for as guylines, clothes lines, or for mooring canoes.

I like the look of colored para on my izula, plus it makes it look a lot less threatening. Black coated little knife with dark cord wrap starts to look a little prison-shanky. Right now I've got mine flat wrapped with orange and black, once I find another color I like, I'll probably re-do it. I like the look of the glow-tracer 550 that supply captain has listed. Other than that I just use the colored cord for zipper pulls and stuff like that.

I quite often use neon yellow to tag my knives when I'm out in the woods, makes them a lot easier to spot when you put them down :)

I use neon orange on my izula. I also tied hte ends of an @18" piece of cord and loop that thru the key ring and secure it thru the belt loop of ym pants so no matter what, you can not lose your keys unless the fall out AND the belt loop rips off. I hope I would be able to feel and hear said incident so I am not too worried.

I do however replace the pull tabs/ slide locks in my stuff sacks/ bags when I backpack so I know what are in each by colored threads. Red= IFAK, Blue= water treatment/ stove/ cookware, brown= tools, etc etc.

As for the color of cord, even bright colors turn darker and get dirty with use. Here is a photo last year of my Izula on the XDtalk pocket thread.

In the batch I got, the red and grey are stiffer, like a different material. The other colors are the normal soft bendy stuff.
