Do you guys ever get bored with a folder or knife?

I am so bored with my Strider GB folder.

It has not need sharpening in months, even though it sees use everyday at work. I take it out and it works at every task I put it to. Other knives or folders I find something to do with them. Sharpen here, or take it apart, or lube it to smooth the opening.

But with this Strider GB I don't do any of that.

I am just wondering if any of you get bored carrying say a Sebenza around knowing it is the perfect knife for you, or carrying that Emerson Commander that is a perfect production model. Or you get a custom folder from one of the top makers knowing there is not a thing you can do to improve it.

Just boring super reliablity, and perfect workmanship.
 
send it to me, I will abuse it, then return it to you. Thereafter you can sharpen, take it apart, lube it etc. and will have something to do again...:p :D
 
Yes...I'm so bored with my SS SE VG-10 Spydie Police model that I'm down to only fondling it 20-30 times a day, rather than the 40-50 times a day as in the past.:D.

...Same with my Camillus CUDA CQB-1...I only look it over 40-50 times a day now, and have actually ran out of things that I can do to further "customize" it.:D.

(But forget it...Neither one of there will EVER end-up for sale or for trade!.:p).
 
as it is finding that a particular knife doesn't suit me as well as I thought it would. Too heavy, too long, too short, not enough of a point, not robust enough. I'm narrowing my search for The One (okay, maybe The Three). Till then I'll continue to try new ones and pass them along if they aren't what I thought they'd be.
