I've changed the layout here for a couple of reasons, here's a short list -
  • Browser Rendering - Changing back to this format should speed up rendering times for Netscape users - previously they would have to wait until the entire page downloaded before they could see anything other than the header. Now, they should see faster page display times.
  • Low Resolution Friendly - 640x480 users should have an easier time now - no more side to side scrolling.
  • Ease of maintenance - Less of a hassle for me this is a bit easier to maintain.
  • Bandwidth Savings - No more little bitty image backgrounds and tons of tiny images means you get to see the page faster. Plus, it's a cleaner overall look IMHO.

Anyhow, if you like it, or don't, let me know, and we can work on making it better for everyone.

I like the old look for esthetics and because I'm used to it. But after reviewing the advantages, particularly to you, I vote for the new look. I'll adjust.

Wow! Sure loads a lot faster - even with cable modem. As someone already said, it's a bit busy up at the top with all of the links, but the speed increase makes up for that.

Second, or third, the "busy" look at the top BUT it puts everything right there. No more looking.
