I have many knives that have problems, maybe you do too? Some though are ok, or have so much of a story or history that they still make you proud. BUT, do you have a knife that you can't help but want to cry like a little girl every time you see it? If you do, you know what I mean ;). Please share those here!

This one to kick it off: Garden City Cutlery Co. (made in Germany for USA?). date?. It is an early natural pearl whittler that must have been quite the looker in it's day. That didn't stop whomever owned it from doing the obvious. sigh.

Nice knife that must have fell into the hands of a young age fellow that did know know any better. I am sure there were a few "older knives" that I abused when I was very young and did not know any better.

If she were mine, I would grind that main blade into a coping blade. I would try some type of repair to the pile side cover and throw it in my pocket.

Thanks for sharing.

Yep, this one. This old Joseph Rodgers dates back over 125 yrs. Excellent walk and talk, doubt it was ever carried much after the tip was broke. I haven't got around to grinding it back to a shortened wharnie, but when I do it will be a great knife for special occasions. The pearl covers are perfect.

None that I would want to cry over, but many that I would want to go back in time and Gibbs slap myself in the head over.
