Im not talking about the karda or chamka.
Some khuks come with awls, tweezers, tinder pouches etc. Do any of you have these and if so have you used them. I just wanted to know if they were still a useful things to have with your khuk or if they had gone the way of the Dodo bird.

Also does anyone have any close up pictures of these tools?

If you made up a "metal match" about 4"x3/8" with a handle like on the karda & chakma I'd buy one. anybody else?

OK uncle...I can understand how hard that would be....if anybody else is iterested maybe I'll make some.

Josh,

The old Nepalese had a good idea with the tools.

I think there are superior realizations for the modern world.

I carry a leatherman wave, which gives me a karda, chakma, awl (small screwdriver) and several other useful tools. I carry a small ziplock bag with a Vaseline soaked cotton ball in my wallet for tinder. A small ferrocerium rod and a piece of hacksaw blade are attached to my keychain. All these items are with me whether or not I am carrying a khukuri.
