I know this is a really old thread, but I just received an Ardechois knife as a gift. I'd like to know more about them, the maker, etc. The link above appears dead.

The knife was purchased at a hunting/fishing store in Privas, in the Ardeche, a few weeks ago. Who is JJ Asstier? Anyone know what sort of steel he uses for a blade? Where does JJ Asstier live?
