Do you know this knife? WORLDHUNTER

I came across a knife awhile back at a gun show. The old timer I bought it from didn't know much about the knife. I had never seen one like it so I brought it home, but I can't find any info on it at all. Can you help?

The knife is marked: WORLDHUNTER 80 DG. 440 C Stainless. Made in Japan.

It looks like a dagger style boot knife, but it's a lockback folder with a leather carry case.
 
May be from the explorer or rigid line of knives that were popular in the 70s-90s,they used 440c sometimes and the dg code sounds a little like some of their models,lots of their stuff was made in japan as well.

thank you, that should help. also I am curious about a custom knife by J.W Townsend, do you know a source for info on his knives?
