Do you like single blade or multi-blade traditionals?

Just curious what you all think when it comes to single and multi-blade traditionals. Personally, I have no need for any secondary blades other than cleaning my nails which I do anyway with the main blade. The few multi-blade knives I have and use, I always go for the main blade no matter what.

Multi-blade for me. Otherwise there's no tangible advantage over a modern folder (intangible aesthetic advantages notwithstanding). Furthermore, with the exception of a small handful of patterns, most traditionals require at least two blades to feel complete for me.

For general purpose daily pocket carry, I prefer a multi-blade. Doesn't add much to the effort of carrying it, does add to the versatility and functionality.

When I want to maintain my nails, I use the tool on my Vic Cadet specifically designed for that task. Even has a nail file built in.

So far I've been leaning towards single blade, but I have a calf roper en route so that may start to change. Generally I just find the aesthetics of single blade knives more appealing, I also like how thin they are. :)

I have two single blade and one double. I think they both have their place, but I find myself carrying the single blade the most.

Multi blade. On the days when I carry a single blade, I carry a large and a small :D

Normal days. Stockman or cattle knife

It really depends on my mood for the day. I can get by with one blade but I often carry a multi bladed knife and use the blades for different things.

A traditional knife is almost always thinner blade stock then a one hander. Slices better, weighs less and disappears in your pocket. People dont give me a second look when I produce my slipjoint from my right front pocket and use it to cut anything. I got negative glares from several home owners when I would unclip a modern knife to cut a piece of cardboard. Since switching to traditionals I have yet to come across any incident where I wished I had a modern folder over a slipjoint. They are certainly not for everyone but its the right tool for all the jobs I need a knife for.

Have both single and multiblades and both have their place in my uses, although I prefer multis most of the time. If I want a small knife for Sunday or in slacks Single blades can be nice. Most of the time however its nice to have different blade shapes and I bet if you use them some you will find the smaller blades provide better control and leverage making them better for most tasks. Get a piece of wood and whittle for a while with each blade and the difference will be obvious. The other thing is if you have to use the knife for a while without sharpening you still have a sharp blade remaining.

I prefer the single blade but would be open to multiblade if they have the right blade combination. The pen blade is a useless blade in my world. I also like the way the single blade knives look.

Multi-blade in pocket, multi-blade in OTHER pocket, fixed blade on hip, fingernail grooming device around here somewhere....

Just went back and counted. Out of the 8 knives I own, 3 are traditional with 1 multiblade peanut, and 2 single blade Barlows. I thought I had more single blade traditionals but the moderns and the Mora threw me off. :D I like both single and multiblade traditional knives with a tendency to lean towards the single side.

Multi here...... I do carry a stockman pretty frequently, but I prefer a double bladed Jack of some sort day in ... day out.

I don't aways carry a single blade knife, But when I do, I carry a multi-blade too. :D

In a larger traditional folder I like single blades, medium to small, multi blades.

I think I like the variety on the multi blades best.

It's funny. I like the "look" of a single bladed folder but I always find more utility out of a multi bladed model. Even still, I mostly just use the main blade anyway!
